Those who can write, those who can't are agents.

Miss Snark is my idol. I've only just discovered her, and she stopped blogging over a year ago. She has a book out, which I intend to buy. I also admire the format of her blog, so I'm going to try accomplish that as soon as possible. If I am very very lucky, I will fill the shoes of Miss Snark. They aren't big shoes, but they are red 3" heels, not my color for sure.

Will I ever give up driving a cab? Ah, no. Will I ever give up my real job? Yes. Will I chose writing over sifting, winnowing, and getting yelled at by publishers? I hope to. As soon as I get one of them to publish something I've written.

The last submission I received was a short story about this house that was full of snakes. I sent it back to the author for a rewrite, but it was a cute idea. When I was a kid, I knew this woman who lived in a house full of snakes, and she was absolutely terrified of snakes. The snakes were all harmless of course. Just goes to show you, you should always wait until spring when the snakes come out of hibernation to shop for a home.

Hmmmm, I just looked at the calender, it's Halloween. Imagine that? Boo!
